The powerstrop company produces leather stropping wheels that have been sold in stores since 1980. This "made in USA" product is hand crafted from high quality cowhide discs that are glued together then turned on a lathe to give each leather wheel a smooth, firm edge.  

 

Each original kit comes complete with a 3 1/2" leather stropping wheel, a steel mandrel that mounts the wheel on a drill or lathe and a bar of aluminum Oxide Compound that is used as an abrasive to give the tool a razor sharp finish edge.
